The European Union is weighing tariffs on $110 billion of U.S. goods, including Boeing aircraft, as trade tensions escalate. With a July 9 deadline looming, the bloc aims to counter American duties on steel, aluminum, and vehicles. EU leaders will convene Thursday to finalize their response.
President TRUMP has threatened a 50% tariff on nearly all EU imports if no agreement is reached. Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni suggested a 10% baseline tariff might allow negotiations to continue, but the U.S. appears unwilling to compromise on existing trade barriers.
